Hello sisters, 

One of my good friends recently traveled to the States to visit her family there...When I have friends travelling to elsewhere around the globe, I have a habit of asking them to buy some stuff back home coz I love collecting stuff from that country that is expensive here or that we rarely find here in Singapore...Besides even if we find it here, it would cost us a bomb.

I took this opportunity to ask my friend to get me some stuff from Bath & Body Works from the States. Though this brand just opened their showroom in Marina Bay Sands Singapore, I still find it slightly pricier than what I can get for from the States.

I actually shamelessly gave my friend a very long list to buy but due to time constraint my friend managed to get me most of what I requested. Here is me wishing my friend N :) a very big Thank You for going through all the trouble.

So shall we move on to view what she got for me!

I love Bath & Body Works products coz they just smell soooooo good. 

I really needed the 3 wick candles but the scent I wanted was already sold out.  So, she had to give that a pass..

Next would be Handsoap that I really needed for my washrooms.

Next was shower gels....they have a huge collection of scented shower gels, but I have been hearing a lot of wonderful comments on Forever Sunshine.

I was actually wanting Lorac Eyeshadow pallet but my bad luck, there wasnt any.

So I took the Maybelline brand for my Eyeshadows.

One thing I really love about these pallets is that it comes with markings of which should go where. So in order to bring out the smokey effect on our eyes, these are very useful and they match which is the best part. Cant wait to try this out soon....

Doesnt the colors just blend in :) They look soo beautiful!

Hoping to apply these wonderful colors while at parties or my events or In shaa Allah while im on holiday. These cost similar as well....

Salam Sisters,

Happy Muharram to all of you...Today has been very nice as well. Ever since I quit, I have been able to spend time with my little one and rest. Not only have I been able to focus on my business future projects and ideas, I am much more relaxed and less stressed now. 

Like me, I am sure those who are going to work or under the peer pressure of family members have a troubled mind and may not be in peace. You may not have been able to sleep peaceful with all these thoughts in your mind. Be at peace my sisters, Life is actually a joke...Laugh it out! We are never going to make out of it alive, so why kill yourself with stress and problems and over thinking on the way...

There are plenty of ways to kill stress...Some may love to do something that they really like to remove stress, it may be listening to music, sleeping, reading, cooking, dancing whatever it may be, it should take your mind away from it.

For me, I like to drink some hot tea and relax in a cozy couch and watch some comedy movies and laugh my heart out. Tea is actually a soothing drink which relaxes your pulses in your mind. I drink my tea black and this really keeps me fresh and alert. There are different teas, earlier in my previous blogposts I would have written about green teas. There are different teas in the market right now but there are some teas that really help us. Below are a few of them. Hopefully you find them useful.

Hello my sisters,

Been too busy this morning trying to figure out plans for our event which coming up on 25th November! So excited. Hopefully my first event goes well...Have been receiving positive reply and comments so far. In sha Allah next week would be a very busy week for me as my supplier would be back from his holidays and I can place my orders for my customers.

Anyways, after resigning from my really stressful job, I needed some retail therapy at a budget of course...Only certain things can satisfy my stressful mood and aromatherapy stuffs is one of them. As I was walking through the mall, one of my favourite brands was having a sale!

Need I tell, I was rushing across the hall like a warrior in a battle, to beat the crowd and to pick out my favourites before it sold out hahaha :)

So since i of course couldnt spare too much as I already have ordered some stuff my friend I didnt want to go overboard and buy too much...

Thus, I came back with these...

Yes! Body Shop it is!!

Usually you would find most of its products slightly reasonable than other brands but yet still i prefer to get mine usually on their sales like these...

Curious to what I got?? I bought 4 mini bottles of shower gels for SGD 10 :) Although mini it can really last quite a bit and their aroma ooh yes it lasts longer :)

I usually get lotions as well, but since I already have too many lotions at home that I havent even started using yet, I gave them a pass. I needed more travel size mini packs like this so I can carry them around, especially on my holiday :) Boy! M i gonna smell good there hahaha...

Indian Night Jasmine Shower Gel

This is the first time I am seeing this scented shower gel and the name kinda triggered me to smell it and get it. hahaha this name is somehow kind of reminds me of "First night" where usually the room is decorated with jasmine flowers ahahaha... so i assume this is very suitable for the brides to shower before their first night ;) wink wink ahem ahem

HoneyMania Shower Gel

This smelled kinda like honey but not too strong yet subtle and sweet...It suited for that relaxing nights after a hard days work. Cant wait to try this out.

Moringa Shower Gel

Another new addition that I have yet to try. This soap-free shower gel contains real moringa seed oil and has the delicate scent of white flowers. I cant wait to try this either. This is also not too strong yet soothing and sweet.

Last but not the least

Japanese Cherry Blossom

One of my all time favourites and one of the most famous and fast moving scented product in Body Shop. Trust me you will never go wrong with this shower gel or lotion or scent. It just smells too good you gotta smell it to believe it. :) Try it and give it a go !

I am extremely happy with my haul...

Next haul was done by a close friend and its from the US....

BO - Make an effort

Hello my dear sisters,

While going to work the other day, I was already tired, with all these extra work I have been doing at my ex company which never seemed to stop ever! Was sleeping on the bus once I got in, even though my stop would be just 2 stops away. Trust me, when  I say I'm tired, you wouldnt believe the odd places I can just doze off... (My weakness, i know, I just cant help it...probably im ageing haaahah...) Anyways, back to the point, there I was by the bus window seat, snuggling myself in the cold sleeping making value of the extra few minutes I had before I reached my destination, this woman just plunges beside me.

Phewww..BO (body odour) in the morning OMG! this totally made me sick. She was an Indian lady in her late twenties, good looking and I think she is going to work. But her BO just doesnt really give her a good opinion, especially when the day just started...

As ladies, we should all take care of our personal hygiene. We should watch what we eat when we are out, what measures to take in order to maintain a good hygiene...Apart from the hygiene washes, for those extra perspiring ladies, (even men) please make an effort to reduce that smell, I am sure you can smell yourselves too...It just gets stronger and stronger and its totally unbearable.

I have read many home remedies to reduce the BO. This will totally help you and your surroundings...I know its hard for a friend to actually tell you that you have BO but to me I guess a good friend would help you most if she helps you by overcoming your problem. 

And I am your good friend, dont be shy if you have BO. Lets take some measures to reduce it better still get rid of it. 

There are plenty of brands of body Deodorant out there in the drug store, find the one that suits your skin types...Some may end up giving you skin irritation and I know how embarrassing it would be to see you scratching your armpits hahaha.... The skin at your armpit is more sensitive compared to that on your hand, legs etc...So pick the right product. 

Ever since day 1, I have been using Nivea brand as I feel they have the most mild and safe product that doesnt cause any skin irritation or of any sort. There are other brands like Rexona etc..but Nivea works really good for my skin type. They have different varieties in Nivea like skin brightening and whitening, after shave, gel etc etc...

Recently Nivea has an offer for its products. It gives you a 50 ml + 20 ml free for just 4.90 SGD which is a good deal really.

This really prevents me from perspiring and traps all wetness and I dont like to feel wet and sticky after applying my deo so this doesnt do any of that. This lasts for as long as 48 hrs and it helps to tighten pores and whitens the areas that have blackened over the years.

Other home remedies you can follow are as follows to reduce BO.

1. Witch Hazel Remedy for Body Odor

2. Use Vinegar

3. Apply Lemon Juice

4. Baking Soda

5. Baking Soda and Cornstarch

6. Apple Cider Vinegar

7. Apply Tea Tree Oil 

8. Sage Herb

9. Rosemary Herb

10. Wheatgrass Juice 

All above helps in reducing the body odor. Some are applied at the areas of odor and some are taken orally.

Salam my dear sisters!!

I am back finally, sorry once again. I have quit my job to focus on my business for a while and I have never been this happy to quit hahaha...well i cant go into detail on that, so lets get down to our writing! I have soo much in store for you...And I will be frequent in my writing to give you more information...

So, I received Mail :) A.M Mail...I ordered more parfum oils from Aura with Scent.. 

I placed the order just a day before and I received it the following day. Delivery was rather quick. It came in the A.M mail. 

Nicely packed in a plastic box so that it does break or get damaged. Wondering what I got? This time Marc Jacobs - Blush and Ms Dior - Cherie...Both were awesome and breathtaking parfums that I like.

Blush has a bit of like subtle smell which is somewhat similar to our Indian athars... hahaha but its nice. Ever since I wore Coco and Ms Dior people have been stopping me to say I smell really good hahaha what I was wearing hahaha.... This makes my day :)

So why not get one too..since I have planned to be a distributor for Aura and I am loving it! I can earn extra bucks and make an effort to make someone smell really good and feel good tooo :)

Nature Valley Granola Thins

NTUC is having an offer for all Nature Valley Bars. They are selling at SGD 9.45 for 2 boxes. It might seem pricey at first but i would highly recommend it firstly its healthy, secondly its tasty and lastly even the kids love it. There are certain things that you cant force your children to eat healthy but getting good healthy food into your kids tummies is a win win with Nature Valley products.

There are different varieties and flavours which include almonds, fruits and nuts, dark chocolate and oats, maple syrup etc...

I bought the above and let me tell you my son ate more than I did. Its thin and crunchy and the dark chocolate just melts in your mouth. I love when you can eat chocolate guilt free like this.

I couldnt get a picture of the granola thins packets coz by the time I got into senses to feature this in my blog, it was already finished. hahaha...

So off I went to NTUC again to get my next purchase of granola

This time I bought Roasted Almonds and Oats and Dark Chocolate.

This is however slightly thicker than the thins but not even a tiny bit less tastier. 

This is 190 calories in two thick bars in each individual packs.

Have I tempted you enough ?? Go try it out and feel the goodness in you...

Trust me spending a few extra bucks on some good food, its totally worth it.

Missing In Action

Firstly, I would like to apologize for my absence for quite a while now. I have gone missing in action for the past whole week since I got really busy with Eid and business matters. I found it a bit overwhelming with the overload at my temporary work place. Today happened where I got a break thanks to my little one that I played bunk to work :P

So I thought I should visit on how my blog is doing and clear up the cobwebs that have created while I was away. Got soo many ideas blooming but time constraints and my laziness has put everything on halt. Will take it slow and keep you sisters updated on the way.

Well, as you all know by now, that I have started the Daneen Online Boutiq and my very first consignment from Dubai would be arriving In shaa Allah tomorrow. I am soo excited to get my hands on it. So much of work lies ahead in me, spamming in every strangers walls on FB and Instagram on my Abayas sale. As only limited quantities are arriving I really hope people love these designs that are hand picked carefully for all my sisters.

In sha Allah I am planning to bring in more goodies to make DOB a much more livelier online shopping experience. I really wanted to spend the weekend resting really well because I am really really trust me totally whacked out of energy. I wish to laze around at home, updating my blog, updating my collection for my online business and watch movies. Since there is a new movie on TV on Sunday, thought of renting a movie that I have been searching high and low ever since it came out in the theatres. Instead of paying SDG 10 for a movie in the theatre why not watch it at the comfort of our own home. How you may ask, i know there are lots of video dvd rental outlets but the latest invention is the popview box that offers movies operated in a machine... How cool is that...

It has now reached lots of people and everyone is starting to rent videos as less as SGD 1.40 per night yes you are right and you can borrow 2 dvds at a time. The best part is that all new users to POPview get the first rental free for the first night :) All you need is your ID card whether its a work permit, dependant card or identity card. Scan the barcode, for first time users all you have to do is enter the promo code stated on the touch screen and they will send an OTP to the phone that you have stated while registering. Its as simple as that. You choose your choice of movies and check out. The machine ejects out the dvd in a protective cover. If we finish watching it withing one day for the first time users, you dont have to pay a single cent. For frequent users, depending on the number of nights that you keep their dvd, they will add on SGD 1.40. So when we go back to return the DVD to the machine, we just pay using our Ezlink transport card. Now it that not convenient :P

So guess what movies I have been really wanting to watch....

No clue Aye ?? 

Oh yeah!! The most sought after film of the year, that I hadnt been able to catch it at the theatre coz of my new born daughter. Finally got it on DVD. Get the tissue box, hot chocolate, a blankie and I am just going to relax my weekend with the most lovable story of the year.

The next movie I got was Villain by Reteish Deskmukh in a totally negative role never seen before..

I was at the expo to check out the sales there, when I came across this RollaPad Massager which seemed quite nice. I just wish it had some vibrator which does all the work for us hahaha but i guess that would be more expensive. 

This is available at the John Little sale thats happening at the Singapore Expo Halls this weekend. It cost me SGD 3.90 for this. Not bad huh?? 

This is how it looks like. Compact and handy to carry around especially when you travel a lot. Even on flights, this is a good massager to prevent DVT (deep vein thrombosis) on long hauls. I think it usually sells at SGD 9.90 and then they had discounts all over which came up to lowest of SGD 4.90 and yesterday at the expo it was just SGD 3.90. Since i would be travelling this December, thought I should get one.

Hello my beautiful sisters, 

Its been a crazy busy week for me at work...Beginning to feel a bit lethargic and have decided to cut short my temporary stint to end of October. I can fully focus on my abaya business in shaa Allah in November when i get my stocks in hand.

It has been a really hazy and hot week and I really needed to cool myself down and I didnt want to eat an ice cream and add up more calories, so I opted for the healthier version, frozen yogurt. Its my favourite of all times.

They have a wide range of flavor varieties suiting each taste buds and trust me you wouldn't be disappointed. There are four flavors each week. From natural, mango, wintermelon, raspberries, peach you name it.

They were having an offer for SGD 3.90 for a medium sized cup of any flavor of the week with banana crunch cereal. Thats a good deal for me. I have never tried wintermelon and as per the counter staff at the Yami yogurt parlor, she recommended me to try this flavor to beat the hot summer heat.

I truly loved it. Its not too heavy and not too sweet. It was just the right blend to quench my temptation. Of course, my all time for yogurts in any yogurt parlor is PEACH :) the fragrance and taste is such a winner.
