I really wanted to spend the weekend resting really well because I am really really trust me totally whacked out of energy. I wish to laze around at home, updating my blog, updating my collection for my online business and watch movies. Since there is a new movie on TV on Sunday, thought of renting a movie that I have been searching high and low ever since it came out in the theatres. Instead of paying SDG 10 for a movie in the theatre why not watch it at the comfort of our own home. How you may ask, i know there are lots of video dvd rental outlets but the latest invention is the popview box that offers movies operated in a machine... How cool is that...

It has now reached lots of people and everyone is starting to rent videos as less as SGD 1.40 per night yes you are right and you can borrow 2 dvds at a time. The best part is that all new users to POPview get the first rental free for the first night :) All you need is your ID card whether its a work permit, dependant card or identity card. Scan the barcode, for first time users all you have to do is enter the promo code stated on the touch screen and they will send an OTP to the phone that you have stated while registering. Its as simple as that. You choose your choice of movies and check out. The machine ejects out the dvd in a protective cover. If we finish watching it withing one day for the first time users, you dont have to pay a single cent. For frequent users, depending on the number of nights that you keep their dvd, they will add on SGD 1.40. So when we go back to return the DVD to the machine, we just pay using our Ezlink transport card. Now it that not convenient :P

So guess what movies I have been really wanting to watch....

No clue Aye ?? 

Oh yeah!! The most sought after film of the year, that I hadnt been able to catch it at the theatre coz of my new born daughter. Finally got it on DVD. Get the tissue box, hot chocolate, a blankie and I am just going to relax my weekend with the most lovable story of the year.

The next movie I got was Villain by Reteish Deskmukh in a totally negative role never seen before..

Hello There, 

I was at the expo to check out the sales there, when I came across this RollaPad Massager which seemed quite nice. I just wish it had some vibrator which does all the work for us hahaha but i guess that would be more expensive. 

This is available at the John Little sale thats happening at the Singapore Expo Halls this weekend. It cost me SGD 3.90 for this. Not bad huh?? 

This is how it looks like. Compact and handy to carry around especially when you travel a lot. Even on flights, this is a good massager to prevent DVT (deep vein thrombosis) on long hauls. I think it usually sells at SGD 9.90 and then they had discounts all over which came up to lowest of SGD 4.90 and yesterday at the expo it was just SGD 3.90. Since i would be travelling this December, thought I should get one.

Hello my beautiful sisters, 

Its been a crazy busy week for me at work...Beginning to feel a bit lethargic and have decided to cut short my temporary stint to end of October. I can fully focus on my abaya business in shaa Allah in November when i get my stocks in hand.

It has been a really hazy and hot week and I really needed to cool myself down and I didnt want to eat an ice cream and add up more calories, so I opted for the healthier version, frozen yogurt. Its my favourite of all times.

They have a wide range of flavor varieties suiting each taste buds and trust me you wouldn't be disappointed. There are four flavors each week. From natural, mango, wintermelon, raspberries, peach you name it.

They were having an offer for SGD 3.90 for a medium sized cup of any flavor of the week with banana crunch cereal. Thats a good deal for me. I have never tried wintermelon and as per the counter staff at the Yami yogurt parlor, she recommended me to try this flavor to beat the hot summer heat.

I truly loved it. Its not too heavy and not too sweet. It was just the right blend to quench my temptation. Of course, my all time for yogurts in any yogurt parlor is PEACH :) the fragrance and taste is such a winner.

I am wearing a navy blue and white striped hijab which i got at the Zak Salaam Expo, white full sleeve shirt from some random shop, Black long cardigan from Bugis Fashion Market, Black and White Striped Skirt from Cotton On. I am wearing a ring and my AX watch. I just rolled up the white sleeves over the black cardigan to give that chic look.

Been really busy with work in the office and my online business..So much of updating and researching. It really is a tough job to create a clientele. Please doa for me to excel in everything I do. In Shaa Allah Lets home for the best :)

Good Morning to all :) I am very happy for the fact that I am now able to keep myself busy with both family and work and not confuse or complicate myself with problems. :) A great tip to feeling happy is to actually not sit idle and think too much. This will actually prevent us from being sad or frightened of all the "What ifs" that is going to happen in the future. Leave it all to Almighty and just follow the lead.

Anyways, as I said that the past week was really an exciting one. I launched my online business that I have been wanting to do for quite a while. Its called the "Daneen Online Boutiq" named after my daughter Daneen. "Daneen" means Princess in Arabic. Indeed, we are all Princesses and Queens to our Dads and Husbands :)

When I was in India 2 years back, my mom and I went shopping in town. It was a hot summer afternoon and the heat was just melting our skins away. To quench the thirst, we went to a juice stall just nearby the mall. My mom recommended me to try this pomegranate juice. We ordered one with plenty of ice. I also learnt that they serve this drink with sugar and sometimes milk. (Trust me its toooo sweet) 

Isnt this the preetiest fruit...I prefer mine just plain and with ice...Oh my...whataaa taste yaar...Its really refreshing and healthy too...Eversince then, every time i visit the juice stalls, all i ever ask for is just Pomegranate juice. Are you eager to find out what I got ??!!

As i said in my previous blog, I didnt pay for a single thing in this bag and I am really glad I had accumulated so much of rebate $$.

I am soo excited to show you my haul from Watsons, that I have so much to write a review on. So far, I have used 2 of these items, the Velvet Smooth and Morocco Argan Oil. I have yet to use the make up remover wipes. So that will be for another day.

Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File

The battery operated device spins the specially designed Micralumina™ roller at high speed to gently buff away rough, hard skin. This is clearly Awww "wait for it" SOME!!! 

It lives up to its name and I wish to say that this really solves all my hard dead skin problems.

It works on batteries and its provided in the initial pack that we buy. It comes with a roller which we can replace as its sold separately once its worn out. On dry feet, once we switch the roller on, it just spins and minutely removes/ shaves off our dead skin into dust. You just have to hold it lightly towards the skin moving around in all directions, all over the foot. Once done, when you feel that your feet are looking baby smooth, you may wipe or wash your feet and apply some moisturizer or body lotion for your feet to make it even more smoother and softer just like its name Velvet Smooth.

Marc Anthony The Professional - Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Treatment

As I was looking for a perfect Argan oil infused conditioner, not knowing which to take, I chanced about this which was at the top shelf. Looked promising but when I looked at the price, I was like WWwwwHaaaaTTT!! It was SGD 20 plus for each conditioner and each shampoo...I wouldnt mind if it gave results but since it was my first time, I didnt want to spend this much. I looked to see if there were any in smaller size. There was this small pack which cost just SGD 3.90.

This 50 ml pack can last you quite a number of washes. After shampooing, use this conditioner along the roots to ends and leave it on for more than 5-7 mins. You can automatically feel the difference when you wash it off. It is tangle free and you feel the lightness of your hair and it smells good too. I highly recommend this to all those with dry frizzy hair. As per the description, its good to use this treatment once a week. Now I cant wait to try it out next week.

Australis 3 in 1 make up remover wipes

This costs just SGD 2.

Australis states that these wipes 'cleanses, tones and moisturises whilst gently removing all traces of make-up'. These wipes are soap, alocohol and fragrance free and is suitable for all skin types. I am not sure if they are good or not, but so after buying these wipes, I read reviews saying that they dry out easily. Lets see how they end up for me.

So these are things that i purchased at Watsons. I am so glad with my purchase oh wait...I didnt spend a cent hahaha :)

Happy Sunday my dear ladies, 

Really wanted to write yesterday but I had my friend over and I had zumba and by the time i was back I was totally whacked out. I had a long hot bath and gave myself a good scrub and hair treatment that I am raving to talk about in the next post! I just laid back and watched a movie with my son. 

Today I am going to talk about what happened while I was out at Watsons drugstore last Wednesday. I had actually been reading a lot of reviews of Scholl's Velvet Smooth Electronic Pedi that I really needed to get one to get rid of my dead skin and cracks that I have been getting lately coz of the weather and post natal since I really hadnt had the time to groom myself with the manicurist. It costs SGD 39.90 which actually made me think a couple of times whether I really needed it and if it would work perfectly for me. Gave it a lot of consideration and made up my mind that I needed to get it asap.

So after work I headed over to the drugstore and bought a few stuff. While I queued up to make my payment, I handed over my POSB everyday credit card. POSB is a post savings bank in Singapore for those overseas readers. 

I usually keep this card for all my ticket booking and online transactions. One thing good about this card is that for every time we purchase, we end up with its equivalent rebate $$. I was aware of this but had no idea how much I have accumulated so far. But I never came around to using it before. So I completely forgot of such a thing and when I wanted to make my payment for those stuff with my credit card, the lady at the counter said that I have more than enough to buy the stuff I have chosen and I dont have to pay a cent. Free!! Oh yeah, this budget hijabi loves to hear about free stuff!!

You should have seen the gleam on my face like a child that saw cotton candy. I was smiling through the whole purchase and I was glad I didnt have to pay a single cent for the items I took.

So, if you gals are planning to get credit card, choose a one which has claimable rebate $$ so that we can spend on stuff on those rainy days.

New Find - Face Wash

Its not even Saturday and look I am already writing my blog. I guess today I am not that tired as I am always. I got lots instore for you but this review first on a new find that I discovered last week when I was searching for a new face wash.

I usually like to see if there is anything new in the market for each product before I go and settle down for my usual. I was at Guardian drugstore rummaging through their SGD 2 section for anything interesting. I found this!

Black Rice and White Rice combo for face wash!!?? Who even thought about it? This serves as both a Whitening and Pore minimizing agent! Orey kalle rendu maanga! hahaha... Out of curiosity to try new stuff as usual, i bought this to give this a try.

This is how it looks like when i first squirted it out but as I kept using it, I could see the streak of white in between black and as promised on the wash, it is certainly a duo wash. At first, when I saw it black, I was really disgusted to try it as it really looked like charcoal. But the smell was awesome. It lathers very well too. After 2-3 types of washing with this face wash, I could feel the difference. It sure did minimize my pores on my nose and chin. It went from a bumpy whitehead nose to a very soft and smooth nose. My pores certainly became unnoticeable after applying this face wash.

"Dont judge a book by its cover" - Yeah totally agree in this case. They had a blue colored face wash too but as I was in a hurry to grab my wash, I didnt really pay attention. In sha Allah once this is finished will try that and comment which is the best among the two.

Weird Things All Couples Fight About

Today I am going to write about something different from norm about something that we married ladies go through every single day...Yes...You are right, it would be a medical miracle if both remain silent and agree on something even once...

There will always be a moment when we ladies get pissed off when they dont understand what we are getting at and of course as ladies what we say is always RIGHT!! hahaha well its the truth isnt it :)

Men sometimes dont think that quickly or smartly as women do.. well most of the time. Sometimes, they are selfish and dont think if its suitable for everyone in the family. When we suggest something, all they do is just disagree and thats where everything goes haywire...

So, as usual, Ladies, we are the responsible ones to manage the situation maturely. We although fight to be equal, obviously we are the weaker sex...but when it comes to family we are the dominant ones and the most responsible. Including the child we gave birth to, we have to also babysit our husbands who are the most difficult child God has given us to bear our entire life.

To make things worse, we have to endure their nonsense, the kids nonsense, the family peer pressure, the society pressure, etc, yes its a tough job alright! Women are meant to fight not with their husbands but for their happiness in life...Not by opposing the husbands but by thinking of ways to live by it and succeed in holding the family together...Succeed in making the husband to trust in her and believe in her...

For love marriages, both would have some mutual understandings before their marriages..yet i hear they do fight and things get too far and they separate ways. I am still thinking as to why this happens if they truly loved each other nothing should separate them...

As for arranged marriages, its a tough journey. Its a long process...No matter how long you have lived together, you would probably still not understand your husband completely and vice versa. There would still be differences that you still cant get things together. But as women, Allah has given us this life to test us and our patience. At least thats what I think. This is to test how strong, patient and clever we are to face problems in our life. In my opinion, it takes a minimum of 10 years of marriage to settle down and to understand about our partner. We are able to gauge his plus and minuses. We know when to talk and when not to. I am not saying that we should agree to everything he blindly says, but there is a much subtle way of making him understand. We just have to work our magic in a way that we dont lose anything on both sides....This is where we have to be equal...

There are lots to say about this...each problem has a different solution and different problems have different loses..Its how we balance our life and problems together so its a win win for both partners as well. 

All we ever want in our life is to be HAPPY. We should spend our time thinking of ways to achieve that and not fighting. Its OK to give in. Not always, but fighting is never the solution. We have to be quiet at times, just be quiet...talking and fighting back makes things worse...We can always go back to it later when everything has settled down in another mood...

In my experience so far, I have decided not to be a wife to my husband! Dont be shocked. What i meant was, I have decided to be a good friend to my husband. Being friends, solves many things. Think of it that way and you will be happy. Trust me. Me and my husband have gone through so much in life so far, but to move on further, i made a decision that being friends with him will only make my life easier. We now joke a lot but we also do fight, but we know how to manage the situation. We tend to take things easily or least we try to. We both certainly are not perfect and we certainly know each others flaws and weaknesses.

Men do have emotions and they do melt. We have to know how and when to use that to achieve what we want...It takes time. We have to be patient. Dont make decisions when you are angry coz that is when we make the wrong ones. Let it pass and take things slow.

Good Luck my ladies, love your family and be patient...You will always get what you wish for and Allah is there to watch over you. Keep on praying for light my dear ladies. Dont make hasty decisions.
