Pomegranate Juice

"No amount of guilt can change the past and no amount of worrying can change the future. Go easy on yourself for the outcome of all affairs is determined by Allah’s Decree. If something is meant to go elsewhere, it will never come on your way, but if it is yours by destiny, from you it cannot flee.” (Umar ibn al-Khattab R.A)

When I was in India 2 years back, my mom and I went shopping in town. It was a hot summer afternoon and the heat was just melting our skins away. To quench the thirst, we went to a juice stall just nearby the mall. My mom recommended me to try this pomegranate juice. We ordered one with plenty of ice. I also learnt that they serve this drink with sugar and sometimes milk. (Trust me its toooo sweet)

Isnt this the preetiest fruit...I prefer mine just plain and with ice...Oh my...whataaa taste yaar...Its really refreshing and healthy too...Eversince then, every time i visit the juice stalls, all i ever ask for is just Pomegranate juice. Its really expensive in Singapore. A fruit costs around SGD 3.50 and above. But when I was in Serangoon Road the other day, at a fruit shop, I saw a plate of pomegranate which has around 5 fruits and it cost me just   SGD 10. Thats a great deal.

Deeply craving for pomegranate juice, I juiced it immediately. It was soooo goood....

Just peel out and blend it. Strain the contents and just serve with ice. Do you know what
the benefits of pomegranates? Here are a few....

Pomegranate juice is used in the treatment of diarrhoea and dysentry as it plays a vital role in the secretion of enzymes which aids proper digestion. Mixing 1 teaspoon of honey in a glass of pomegranate juice is sure to cure indigestion problems.

Drink it regularly to prevent anaemia. Did you all know that if we mix some candied sugar in pomegranate juice and introducing a couple of drops in the nostrils is a quick fix to control nose bleeds.

Ok dears, thats all for this weekend. Till next weekend or if I am lucky to get some time to update my blog, take care and keep smiling.
